Coming up next: one week, four sessions, five countries

Next week brings an intensive schedule: four parallel sessions across five countries within a single week. The 2026 calendar is already full, but the period from April 11th to 19th stands out in particular:

The first of four sessions takes place in cooperation with the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg. Muriel Cantoreggi (violin) and Avri Levitan (viola) will join as tutors, guiding the four talented musicians Seungjun Song (violin) Shuyi Danneil (violin), Rodolfo Bignone (viola), and Szymon Strusiński (violoncello) through a week of concerts featuring works by Kodály, Bach, and Brahms. The public concert will take place on 18 April 18th, 2026, at 19h00 at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg.
Further details on all concerts are available in the calendar.

The second parallel session to look forward to takes place in the Pyrenees and focuses on a wide range of string repertoire. Violist and tutor Raquel Castro will work with young violists Donatella Gibboni, Andrea Santiago Carrillo, and Martí Bravo Requena. The programme includes works by Georg Philipp Telemann, Grażyna Bacewicz, Henryk Wieniawski, Jean-Marie Leclair, Kaija Saariaho, Béla Bartók, and Charles Dancla.

Public concerts will take place on:

  • 17 April 2026, 19h30 • Ermita de Jesús

  • 18 April 2026, 20h00 • Molino Periel

  • 19 April 2026, 17h30 • Iglesia de la Asunción

Further details are available in the calendar.

Session number three takes place at the spring edition of the Zeister Muziekdagen with an intense week of concerts across Zeist in The Netherlands. Joining us again from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris is tutor and cellist Louis Rodde, this time with the Quatuor Citadelle. The public concert takes place on April, 18th, 2026, at 20h00, in the beautiful setting of the Kerkzaal van de Evangelische Broedergemeente.

Further details are available in the calendar.

The fourth session taking place simultaneously is set in Warsaw, Poland. This cooperation between the Sinfonia Varsovia Academy and the A.V. Nezhdanova Odesa National Academy of Music as part of this 1000+ Concerts-collaboration is a  particular highlight: we look forward to welcoming students from Odesa to Warsaw for a joint spring session. Mark your calendars for the matinée concert set for April 19th at Nova Miodowa concert hall under the guidance of tutor Katarzyna Budnik (viola).

Katarzyna will work and perform with students of the Sinfonia Varsovia Academy (Nazar Plyska, violin, Emanuel Ogrodniczek, viola, and Edyta Matonóg-Kulak, violoncello) together with guest musicians of ONMA in Odesa: Kirill-Oleksandr Benderov, violin, and Nazarii Varyvoda, violoncello.

Further details are available in the calendar.
