Musethica is an international music education programme designed for advanced young musicians and chamber music ensembles. Combining high-level music training with social engagement, It aims to enhance interpretative skills through a large number of performance opportunities alongside Musethica tutors, nurturing inspiration, listening abilities, and overall musical proficiency.
Joining Musethica means becoming part of an international community of talented young musicians who refine their performance skills while engaging with diverse audiences. The programme provides invaluable stage experience, allowing participating musicians to refine their interpretation while developing resilience, artistic flexibility, and a deeper understanding of musical communication.
Throughout two seasons, accepted musicians or ensembles have the opportunity to participate in multiple Musethica Sessions or Chamber Music Festivals. The activities take place in Austria, France, Germany, Israel, Poland, Spain, Sweden, The Netherlands, Ukraine, and Portugal. Several of these sessions take place within the frame of the initiative 1000+ Concerts: Innovating Higher Music Education through Social Inclusion, co-funded by the European Union.

Musethica Sessions are immersive week-long courses that allow each musician or ensemble to perform 10 to 14 concerts of solo and chamber music works. The sessions begin with two days of rehearsals and coaching, followed by daily concerts in various locations within the local community.
As part of the sessions, musicians perform alongside Musethica's Tutors. These experienced mentors play a crucial role in providing feedback to young musicians in between and after the concerts. Engaging in discussions, rehearsals, and lessons with the tutors is pivotal for the growth and development of these musicians.
Annually, Musethica's program encompasses up to 40 sessions, taking place in 12 countries. These collaborations include partnerships with renowned institutions such as the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw) and the Escuela Superior de Música de Cataluña (ESMUC), as well as prominent chamber music festivals like the Zeist Music Days in Holland and orchestras such as the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra or Sinfonia Varsovia.

Musethica International Chamber Music Festivals offer an experience built upon the same principle as the sessions, however featuring a larger number of musicians, ensembles, tutors, and concerts.
Chamber Music Festivals take place yearly in Berlin, Zaragoza, Bourg-en-Bresse, Norrköping and Israel.
Musethica covers tuition fees for all participants and contributes significantly to travel, accommodation (for non-locals), and meals. While reimbursement terms vary by programme and country, collaborative preparation with participants aims to minimise costs and avoid personal expenses whenever possible.
In 2026, young musicians can apply to the Musethica International Programme in the following categories:

The selection process for new applications to Musethica is managed by Musethica’s International Artistic Committee (IAC), responsible for assessing both individual musicians and ensembles.
To ensure fairness and impartiality in the selection process, the members of the IAC assess the musicians strictly based on their performance, without receiving any CVs or background information.
