1000+ Concerts in Brussels: Grant Holders Meeting 2025
On September 17th and 18th, we had the pleasure to join colleagues from across Europe at the Grant Holders Meeting 2025 in Brussels. The annual gathering, hosted by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), brings together new Creative Europe Cooperation projects to meet, exchange, and build capacities.
This year’s meeting was shaped as an Open Space session, giving all participants the chance to share their perspectives. The guiding question was simple but powerful: What challenges do you face, and what opportunities have you identified when cooperating at EU level? Juliette Dufau, Head of Musethica International and Project Coordinator of the 1000+ Concerts project, contributed to these exchanges, bringing Musethica’s experience of international collaboration.
The meeting has successfully achieved its main objective: to offer a space to meet, exchange, and build meaningful connections. The constructive dialogue and open discussions that took place over these two days are a testament to the richness and vitality of the European cultural cooperation community. For us, the Grant Holders Meeting has been a privileged occasion to engage directly with project coordinators and EACEA members.
On September 18th, Juliette was also invited to the Implementation Dialogue with Glenn Micallef, European Commissioner for Intergenerational Fairness, Youth, Culture and Sport. Around 20 project coordinators joined him to discuss how Creative Europe culture cooperation projects are unfolding in practice.
The dialogue was both constructive and forward-looking: from simplifying procedures to reducing administrative burdens, and from celebrating cultural diversity to boosting artistic innovation across borders. Our presence helped bring Musethica’s voice into this European conversation on how Creative Europe can continue to strengthen creativity, collaboration, and democratic resilience.
