Zaragoza Session with Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón

The final Musethica Session of 2025 in Zaragoza was held from November 9th to 15th, in partnership with the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón. The programme featured clarinetist Víctor Serrano, a student at the conservatory, and violist Lara Fernández, a faculty member, together with the Barcelona-based Vivancos Quartet: Jordi Prim and Alexis Garita (violins), Estela Megías (viola), and Quim Tejedor (violoncello).

Over the course of the week, the ensemble performed 12 concerts, 10 of them in social and healthcare institutions. Performances were held at the Nuestra Señora del Pilar Psychosocial Rehabilitation Center, the CAMP-CAPDI Residence for People with Intellectual Disabilities, the FIIS Occupational Center, the Valdefierro Social and Labor Center, the Catalina de Aragón Primary School, and the hemodialysis units at the Inocencio Jiménez Specialty Center, Miguel Servet University Hospital, and San Juan de Dios Hospital.

Two additional concerts were open to the public: one on November 13th at the Church of San Pablo, and the closing performance at the Luis Galve Hall of the Zaragoza Auditorium.

This final concert was also attended by the Zaragoza Social Orchestra School, an educational and community initiative that promotes music as a tool for social transformation. Their participation added special value to an already memorable evening, strengthening the ties between education, culture, and society.

The session was part of 1000+ Concerts: Innovating Higher Music Education through Social Inclusion, a project funded by the European Union.
